I wasn't an artium magister all my life, it's obvious that I started somewhere. To give you some perspective on how long the process of becoming a grand reversing wizard takes, let's talk about me. That said, let's go over the next chapter of this guide. I'm improving it every chance I get, so make sure you check out the thread periodically to see if anything new was added. This thread isn't a panacea it doesn't include all the answers to all of your questions, and it's not even finished yet. This guide will speak of basic Roblox concepts, ranging from Instances to what prevents you from making your most beloved hacks. Maybe you'll be part of them one day, who knows. Plus, even the least knowledgeable people on this website are getting better by studying reverse engineering concepts and how Roblox works. Despite Roblox's increasingly hard security, people are constantly researching and developing new ways to create hacks for Roblox and some of them (such as Slappy826, Chirality/Brandon or Bitdefender/Nexure) are succeeding at that. However, don't let the above get you down. Additionally, a lot of the sexy functions you might be interested in (changing your health, speed and whatnot) were hid via mutation and protected against whoever might use them for malicious purposes. They have a memory integrity checker that prevents such modifications from occurring and it's not like they didn't hackproof their own check either. First thing first, you cannot rewrite any of Roblox's code. If you have a Cheat Engine background (code caves, using AA to rewrite functions and such), I'm terribly sorry but none of it will be useful for reversing Roblox. Roblox took measures to prevent hacks from happening and the people they hired to engineer their security were pretty damn good. Yes, you can make your own exploit, but take note that it's not an easy task. If you already used an exploit in the past, chances are you previously wondered if you could make your own.
RAW Paste Data Copied NOTE: This thread is a work in progress and is far from being finished. Seems like working as a team makes your exploit bound to crash and burn according to my past experience in reverse engineering. It made me want to ear my damn eyeballs out. To make it short, we had a huge issue implementing OP_RETURN (more details about that in the lua section) and despite the possibility of classifying it as a bug and working on another aspect of Last Occult instead, they suggested dropping the project entirely and focusing on other things. I invited some other guys into the project and it got really interesting, until some of them lost all motivation in the exploit due to their inability to focus on another thing when something went wrong. In that group, I started an experimental project called Last Occult which was focused on researching a new script execution method for Roblox. A lot of my old friends were in it so I thought to myself "hey, why not join it". A few months after Stack Smash was cancelled, I join this magnificent group called Rain.
